Henry Hesebeck

My name is Henry Hesebeck.

I was born 7 Dec 1871, Wisconsin, my parents are John Hesebeck and Dorathea Mary Koenig.  My parents came from Hanover, Germany.  They met in Wisconsin, and were married on 11 Jun 1868.  We moved from Wisconsin in 1872 to Iowa.  During my younger years I worked on my father farm.  It was a hard life we had.  I met and married a beautiful young lady, name Augusta Christina Dorman.  She was the daughter of Christian Dorman and Louise Sackhoff.  We were married on 10 Jun 1903, in Iowa.  We raised 14 beautiful children.

In 1926, something came over me, I attached my wife, I almost killed her.  I was arrested and put in jail for 5 years.  When I got out, I left town, never to see my children or Augusta.

On 6 March 1942, I passed away in Hennepin county, Minnesota.

Augusta Christina Hesebeck (Dormann)

I was born on 29th Jan 1883, in Lowden, Cedar County, Iowa.  My parents were Christian Dorman and Louise Sackhoff.  I lived most of my life in Iowa, small beautiful little town. I met and married Henry Hesebeck, on 10 Jun 1903.  To this marriage we had 14 beautiful children.   Life was hard, but what happen in 1926, I never saw coming.  My husband Assaulted me, I was almost killed by him.

My husband was sent to jail and the courts gave me a divorce, Dec 1926.  My ex-husband was released in 1930 from jail.

I passed away 1 Jun 1966, Rock Rapids, Iowa.
