Nina F Richardson


My Name is Nina R Richardson.
My parents are Robert John Richardson and Katherine Bremmer.

Mrs. Nina Richardson Knapp, funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday for Mrs. Nina Richardson Knapp in the First Baptist Church of Garden Grove with the Rev. Oran H Smith officiating.  Mrs. Knapp lived in Garden Grove for the past 44 years.  She is survived by her husband, J. Allen Knapp of their home address, 11132 Garden Grove Blvd., a daughter Mrs. Dorothy Mae Ynancy of Westchester, California; a brother George R. Richardson of Santa Ana, and two grandsons.  Interment will be in Loma Vista Cemetery, Fullerton, and Honold Bros. Mortuary of Garden Grove is in charge of arrangement.

Note: I had a son name Richard Lionel Richardson who was born 1901-1959.  My parents raised him, since he was not the son of James Allan Knapp.

Catherine May Richardson

March 12, 1942, Sibley Gazette Tribune:
Services Sunday for Mae Richardson:  Miss Mae Richardson, age 62 died at a local hospital Wednesday March 4, after an illness of several  months.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Methodist Church by the Rev. L.D. Havig-hurst.  The Eastern Star, of which she was an officer, gave the ritualistic service of the Order.  Interment was made in West Holman Cemetery.  Mae Richardson was born in Sibley, January 12, 1880 and grew to womanhood in this community.  She was graduated from the Sibley schools and later taught in rural schools of the county.  She was a graduated from Iowa State Teacher's college with the class of 1911 and afterwards taught in the public schools at Adel, Milford hawarden and Osceola. 
Surviving member of her family are her brother, Ed Richardson of Sibley and George Richardson of Santa Ana, California and one sister Mrs. Nina Knapp of Garden Grove, California.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs Robert Richardson, a brother Ran Richardson and a sister Edith Richardson.  She is also survived by two nephews, Dick and Robert Richardson and two nieces Delores Richardson and Dorothy Knapp of Garden Grove, California.
Relatives from away who came to attend the funeral were Mrs Nina Knapp of Garden Grove, California and Mr. and Mrs Earl L. Bremmer of Hampton.  Other from out of tow who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Will Kepka of Biglow, Mrs M.S. Gole and Mrs Polenske of Ocheyedan and Mr and Mrs. Harm Jensen of George.

Death of Miss Richardson:  Miss Edith Dorothy Richardson died at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richardson last Thursday, of cancer, after a lingering illness of three years.  She was born in Sibley July 11, 1874, and lived her all her life.  Surviving her are her parents, two brothers and two sisters; Edward of Sibley, George of Santa Ana, California, Mae at home and Mrs J allan Knapp of Garden Grove, California.  She had been a member of the Methodist church for more than thirty years.

Edwin Richardson, Sibley Native Dies Saturday November 10- Services were held Wednesday November 14, edwin John Richardson, a Sibley native for 75 years, died in his home, Saturday, November 10, at 8:30 p.m.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 14, in the First Presbyterian church in Sibley, at 2p.m. Rev. G.J. Grobe officiated.  Richardson was born in Sibley in 1876. His father Robert Richardson was one of the pioneer businessman of Sibley.  After finishing his formal schooling in Sibley public schools, he entered the meat market business with his father.  After his father's death, he operated the business until the fire of 1943.  Since that time, Richardson worked in various meat markets in Sibley.  Richardson was first married to Frances Kreager in 1900.  The couple has one son, Robert, who now resides in Grundy Center.  In 1926, he married Minnie Benson.  They had one daughter, Delores, now Dolores Poss of Des Moines.
Survivors are his widow, Minnie Richardson, his son Robert, his daughter, Dolores Poss, one brother George Richardson of Santa Ana, California and one sister Nina Knapp of Garden Grove, California.
